Another way is to communicate a specific image or position for a brand is to associate it with a specific use or application.
For.e.g. Surf Excel is positioned as stain remover ‘ Surf Excel hena!’
 
I think you meant "Surf Excel Hai na" and the example you have given is not for positioning by product class. It's an example of positioning by use or application.

Positioning by product class is more about other products encroaching in your territory.

For example, the cassette market was taken over by CD's and CD's by USB and USB by maybe cell phones?
