Pornography debases human interactions by eliminating love, laughter and all other emotions, and reducing them to the crudely sexual.Should pornography be banned for moral, religious, feminist or crime-prevention reasons? Or is censorship of this sort ill-advised?
 
In Uttar Pradesh, the state police have been raiding Internet cafes, hauling up young boys and girls and throwing them in jail. The police hold that the small cubicles at the cafes, with lock-in facilities, are being used by boys and girls to indulge in sexual acts and access pornographic material. Such raids have been happening across India's biggest state, in the capital Lucknow, in Agra (the city of the Taj Mahal), as well as in smaller towns such as Etawah. This is not to deny that cyber-cafes are not being used for such practices, but it is the brazenness of the police that has come in for criticism.

In my opinion, although whether you want it or not, like it or not, we can't simply say "Ban" and then the whole country support our opinion, as you can see World is heading into pornography, not only in US, but Japan mostly. Right now, this moment, it is depend on us how we interact with society and keep our love pure.

And since we cannot get the whole out of it, we can simply educate a new incomers (in university, schools, etc), to understand the real meaning of Love (as tought in bible) and sacrifice..

Banned?? Off course not. "eliminating love, laughter and all other emotions, and reducing them to the crudely sexual" ? So in that case we should also ban most of MTV shoes and music videos, FOX series like Californication or shows like Sin City or Bunny Ranch...
 
i feel that it cannot be practically banned as it is against the human rights, also india is the country which has the very old tradition and rich culture regarding display of sexual content in Kaamsutra or in the various temples of south where such figures are nmade on the walls.... but yes definately pornography should be made totally banned for people below 18... although by law it is banned, but the law is not enforced strictly...

Proper Sex Education at Schools,Colleges may eliminate the shyness in the young generation about Sex and this may help in eradicating pornography to some extent
 
According to me I think India has reached a stage where the morality of common masses and the orientation of youth should be in their own hands. The generation where people were hand held and stopped from doing anything untraditional should ideally end now. In many western countries there are free condom dispensers in the cafeterias and washrooms of the colleges but that doesnt mean that they just has sex, they study as well and atleast they know to have safe sex. Its high time when youth should take their own decisions, they should be told about whats good or bad but they should be free to take their own decissions.
 
I think it should be the duty of parents to teach sex education to children in late teens so that they dont go in for pornography etc..but yes it should not be allowed in cyber cafes at all!
 
According to my opinion, Pornography shouldn't be banned becoz as we all know our physiological needs are food, breath and sex according to Maslow's need hierarchy theory.In INDIA sex shops are not legal as it happens in USA or in AUS etc. Showing love to ur partners or kissing publicly is not in our culture. Doing rape is a shit thing. so seeing porn just to entertain yourself is nt a bad idea. I dont think that will effect ur sexual life.
 
I don't think putting a ban would solve any problem. Enacting a proper regulatory legislation could provide proper solutions, though.
