Do we go to College for studing or to indulge ourselves in a field lyk politics which is considered to be a dirty pit in India? In Delhi University, many students participates in elections supporting differnt parties nd the worse effect of such parties has worsened d condition of university elections also.

Is it optimum for a student to participate in politics at College level?

Every one has their own views, perceptions.. so it is matter of everyones choices, preferences, But politics is not at all ethical or optimum at college level.

politics is der in college for big time...........u cn see it every nw n der........its mostly seen durin fest. or other events

But what if the politics brings out the violence among students?
Every year DU's students elections go wild and wild which not only disturbs the enviornment but also studies of freshers

A little off topic, but is this a management forum geared towards Indian managers? If not, where are the American users? I would love to discuss current issues relevant to management careers where I live.

Politics at the college level is not a right approach.Students should not enter politics.Politics will spoil the career of a student and at the same time will spoil the reputation of the institution.India has seen the impact of politics at the student in the recent Telegana clashes.

politics has to be introduced at all college levels and opportunities for young people should be there; but sadly money overpowers everything. the structure should be based on intellect and quality rather than just money and power. but the power of mind should be more relevant .

@Henrick Drummond.........we here can also discuss relevant topics of debate. And this topic was one of my Group Discussion topic at the admission level of an university. So, it is a part of management related topics as the people's first step in becoming manager is admission to a B-school.
