PM has assets worth Rs 3.96 cr

Some have 'assets' worth 900 crore, others to the tune of thousands of crores, but look how much money India's Prime Minister has.

Manmohan Singh, who is seeking re-election to the Rajya Sabha from Assam for the fourth consecutive term, has declared movable and immovable assets to the tune of a meager sum of Rs 3.96 crore -- this including two houses and everything in his bank accounts.

In his declaration submitted to the Assam legislative Assembly secretary, G P Das, the Prime Minister said that he has Rs 1,88,82,862 in bank deposits in State Bank of India branches at Central Secretariat, New Delhi, and Dispur, Guwahati.
