Hi Guys! I’m SNAP Guru Ved, Student Counsellor for Symbiosis’s common entrance exam for a PG degree program at Symbiosis International University (SIU).

Last date for SNAP registration is 24th November and the SNAP test will be held on 20th December ’09 at different locations across India. It is mandatory to get admission into SIU’s 12 PG institutes which offer a huge choice of streams such as Telecom Mgmt, Operations Mgmt, Healthcare, Engg, Computer Science, IT – and many more!

Admission Process

1st Round: Appear for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test), scheduled on 20th December 2009. For more details refer to the website Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) for admission to Symbiosis Postgraduate degree programs

Application Form: Visit Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication for the admission form, corresponding instructions are listed alongside.
SIMC gives a varied weightage to the SNAP test component scores and does not go by the aggregate SNAP score only.

2nd Round: After the SNAP test results are declared, shortlisted candidates qualify for the 2nd round which is held in Pune. This consists of group discussion, home assignmentss and a personal interview.


ELIGIBILITY - Graduates in any discipline from a recognized

University with 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate are eligible.

Applicants expecting their final year results may apply. Their

admission will be provisional and subject to furnishing proof of

graduation with 50% by beginning of the Second Semester.

Intake

Master of Mass Communication (MMC): 120 seats

Master of Business Administration (MBA): 120 seats

Reservation of Seats within sanctioned intake:

a) SC - 15% b) ST - 7.5% c) Sponsored Quota - 15%

d) Persons with Disabilities – 3 seats per programme

e) International Students: 15%

Over and above the sanctioned intake:

Kashmiri Migrants – 2 seats per programme
