Planning Commission approves Chhattisgarh’s annual outlay at Rs25,520 cr

EPC News: 1st August, 2013: India,Raipur: The Planning Commission has sanctioned the Annual Plan outlay (2013-14) for Chhattisgarh at Rs25,250 crore. Of the outlined investments, about Rs2,574 crore assistance will be drawn from the Central authority.

The Planning Commission has also suggested the state government to continue its industrial and infrastructure investments throughout the 12thFive Year Plan. The state government has also asked to initiate its efforts to cover 100% habitations with drinking water supply facility in the 12th Five Year Plan.

The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister has opined that during the 12th Five Year Plan period will be targeting a 10% growth, wherein utilization of renewable energy resources will be promoted. Additionally, for fast tracking and attracting investments, a State Investment Promotion Board will be constituted. The government has already implemented the Single Window Clearance Systems and a Monitoring Committee to review the progress of statutory clearances.
