u can go through the placement brochures of various institutes....
sorry but i dont have a soft copy of the brochure of my college....
For the designing, u can use softwares like:
1. Corel Draw,
2. Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Pagemaker
3. Microsoft Word or Powerpoint
4. Moviemaker to make a CD of the brochure.
For distribution in soft copy:
1. PDF maker softwares
2. Movie maker softwares

its simple ou rpepare a power point presentation and then go for its PDF conversion..and you can easily mail it to the variosu companies ..

u can go to www.download.com
from there just search for a "PPT to PDF convertor"...
n they will display a list of softwares...
find out a few free ones and then u can use them...
