National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela announced admission for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Engineering, Science, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences for the session 2015-16.
Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D Programs 2015:
Candidates should have any one of the following:
# M.E /M.Tech /M.Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate in B.Tech (and M.Sc /B.Pharm / MCA) and M.Tech levels from a recognized university.
# B.E /B.Tech /B.Pharm /MCA or equivalent in relevant discipline with CGPA of 7.0 or 65% marks in aggregate.
# M.Sc in Basic Sciences with CGPA 7.0 or 65% marks in aggregate in relevant disciplines.
# M.B.B.S/B.V.Sc with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks in aggregate.
# Additionally candidates having the following qualification can also apply for Ph.D in Management and Humanities & Social Sciences:
# M.A /MBA /M.Com/M. Sc in Humanities, or Social Sciences or Management with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA
# B.E /B.Tech /B.Pharm /MCA or equivalent in relevant discipline with CGPA of 7.0 or 65% marks in aggregate.
# M.Sc in Basic Sciences with CGPA 7.0 or 65% marks in aggregate in relevant disciplines.
# M.B.B.S/B.V.Sc with CGPA 6.5 or 60% marks in aggregate.

# Selection will be made on the basis of academic record, relevance of qualification, candidate’s research interest, existing research programs and facilities of the departments, and performance in tests and/or interviews.
