Paula Constant In 2004, Paula packed her life into a backpack and began walking from Trafalgar Square in 2004. Since then, she has walked over 12000 km through eight countries: England, France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali and Niger. From 2005-2007, Paula walked over 7000km through the Sahara, until she was halted by civil war in Niger. Her first book, Slow Journey South, was released by Random House in 2008. Her second, Sahara, was released in October 2009. Paula began to speak to audiences when she returned from the desert. She draws on lessons learned over three years leading her own expedition through the Sahara to demonstrate how success is defined differently for each person or team, and provides practical steps to enable her audience to find their own definition of success, and achieve it.

Paula is currently busy working on her third travelogue, planning another walk, and lives in rural Victoria.

Mehta Publishing House, Pune, is bringing out Paula's books for the SAARC region.
