Hi guys,

patent bill for any country is of utmost importance and so is for India. India being a land of art & culture, this assumes even greater importance. In the absence of patent bill a person's zeal to invent is also killed. Also in the absence of patent bill our skilled resources would be shifting to other countries to get their invention patented and to showcase their talent. But for those inventions which benefits the society at large, patenting is not required. In that case the person should be allowed to receive a certain part of profit but must not be given exclusive right so that everyone enjoys the benefit of innovation.

WHY PATENT BILL?
Exclusive rights - Patents provide the exclusive rights which usually allow your SME to use and exploit the invention for twenty years from the date of filing of the patent application.

Strong market position - Through these exclusive rights, you are able to prevent others from commercially using your patented invention, thereby reducing competition and establishing yourself in the market as the pre-eminent player.
Patent bill serves as a legal protective shield against the duplication or copy of someones hardwork.Patent bill safeguards the reserach work.
