regarding the profit from the materials, you can speak of various techniques employed by the companies specially the japanese like Total Quality Management, Just In Time, Quality Circles, Six Sigma.... as all these methods contribute to the welfare of the organisation and ultimately for the profitability of the organisation.

Try gettin appointment in a big company like Raymond at Thane, Century Textiles-Worli, Parle-Vile Parle, etc coz these companies hv scrap mgmt system n thier purcasin system is proper, systematic n yields profits 2 thm..
