Opportunities Abound. Whats Your Next Move This Way Up

THIS WAY UP.
Opportunities abound. What’s your next move?
This Way Up.
Leadership.
As a leader, it is your responsibility to create the vision, develop and
communicate the strategy, acquire and mobilize the proper resources to
achieve the objectives.

How effective you are in your leadership role, will determine how
successful your firm will be.

Leadership in a mid-
market firm is often
the loneliest position
in business. Many
leaders find they have
few peers and have no
outlet to test their
ideas.

NEXT Strategic
Advisors will work
with your
leadership team to
clarify your firm’s guiding principles (mission, vision, and values),
to develop your strategic direction and to strengthen your
leadership capabilities.

Contact Glenn Yonemitsu, Partner, for a confidential discussion, about how
you can bring focus to your firm.
Your firm has enjoyed success for many years but now, you
are at a crossroads — facing unprecedented challenges from
your competition. What alternatives should you consider?
You firm is well established but you need to concentrate your
resources on the product/service with the highest return. How
can you redirect your team’s efforts?
You have so many thoughts for growing your company, but
who can you speak to—to flesh out, prioritize and develop
these confidential, strategic ideas?
Focus.
Too many companies try to be all
things to all people.
Often times, scarce resources are
diluted across too many projects,
resulting in mediocre outcomes.
Sometimes it seems that many of
your firm’s energies are at work
against you.
If any of these comments ring true,
then consider how powerful it could
be if you were able to galvanize your
company’s resources towards a
common goal.

NEXT Strategic Advisors will work with your organization to inculcate a
customer focused culture throughout your firm, leading to a greater share
of wallet, and reducing your business risk.
A Customer Intimacy strategy is
much more than having a
Customer Service department.
Every decision, by every
department in your organization
must be made with the interests of
the customer at hand. It is a belief,
not too different from a religion.

Inculcating this culture into your
firm, will change how your
company operates, it will empower
your employees, increasing their
job satisfaction, your customers
will become more loyal and they will become evangelists—the most
powerful sales force any company can have. Most importantly, it will
differentiate your firm from your competition.

NEXT works with the leadership teams of medium-sized, high growth,
entrepreneurial businesses—to help them achieve their growth
potential. Entrepreneurship is the fabric of the Canadian economy and
NEXT is committed to helping ensure success to this sector of the economy.

Contact Glenn Yonemitsu, Partner, for a confidential discussion, about how
you can build a Customer Intimacy culture into your company.
You have built a thriving enterprise, but can you keep the growth curve
rising?
You have led your firm for years but now, you are facing unprecedented
challenges from local, national and international competition. What can
you do?
Your firm is the best in the industry and you have the business model that
will allow you to dominate. What is the best way to grow and how should
you finance this growth?
You have so many thoughts for growing your company, but who can you
speak to—to flesh out and develop these confidential, strategic ideas?
Differentiation.
Too many companies act and
therefore, appear as a
commodity to their customers.
Pursuing a Customer Intimacy
strategy can change how
others view your firm and can
help to differentiate you from
your competition.
Simply saying that you care
about the customer but not
changing how you operate,
wi l l set expectati ons
improperly and alienate customers forever. Pursue it, but do it right.

their resources; and by setting goals and milestones, NEXT instills
the proper discipline to achieve objectives.

Regular one-on-one meetings will allow the business leader to share
ideas, thoughts and strategies with an advisor who will invest the
time to understand their industry, their business, their
opportunities and challenges.

This relationship serves as a confidential sounding board, helps the
leader test their perspective, develop confidence, galvanize their
ideas and plan their action.

Different than traditional executive coaching, where the primary
focus is on the leader as a person, the Trusted Advisor program is
applied and focuses on the business leader and the strategic
opportunities faced by the company.

The Trusted Advisor program helps to build and develop
high performance leaders and management teams by
focusing on strategic consulting / coaching to
strategize, execute, manage and finance growth.

Contact Glenn Yonemitsu, Partner, for a
confidential discussion, about how you can
maximize your effectiveness and move to
the next growth curve.

NEXT will tailor a consulting engagement to meet your needs, but here are
examples of successful projects.
Trusted Advisor—NEXT develops high perform-
ance leaders and management teams by focus-
ing on strategic consulting / coaching to strate-
gize, execute, manage and finance growth.
Succession Strategies—Many owners are the key
cog in the daily operations of the business. As a
change in career plans is considered, it can be
difficult for the owner to conceive how the busi-
ness can continue, without their ongoing involve-
ment. NEXT will help the owner develop and
execute a plan to develop the organization, so
that the business will be self-sustaining, beyond
the involvement of the owner/manager and
thus, will lead to a superior valuation at the time
of sale.
Transaction Specific—NEXT has advised on capi-
tal structure, financing, acquisitions, strategic sales, company valuations
and on management controls and systems. NEXT has been involved in a
number of industry roll-ups and distress situations, acting on both the com-
pany and investor/lender side.
