Knowledge by all means is power. And we acquire this power by being educated in whaterver way possible. Society's education system has turned topsy-turvy. All that we previously thought were the norms, the absolute rules to get by have become obsolete, almost.
Online education gives every student an opportunity to learn even though there are barriers. Online education only and only concentrates on imparting knowledge. Yes, it is true that it misses out on the physical interaction of students with the teacher and the environment of a educational institute but having a first hand experience at getting educated online, like most of you now, it surely is one of the best and no-nonsense way of learning.
To most it is a boon because online education system keeps inparting lesson even though the world as we know it has changed. Communication in person has come close to nightmares.
Of course, it is a fact that there are student who have no internet connection and thus no way of attending online classes, I am hoping that soon there will be a solution for that. On the brighter side, those students can to catch up whenever they get the chance as the study materials are almost always uploaded for future references.
Now, people, tell me your views. What do you think about this? Have you got a rebuttal? Or do you agree with me? Let me know!

I, Supratim Dey, being a 2nd yr college student of IEM Calcutta, obviously think that online education during a pandamic or any unnatural condition is a boon as it helps to continue the education system and education of millions of people out there and keeps the flow of imparting knowledge undisturbed.

Mentioned wisely that knowledge is power by all means, but only if you actually learn. As the world says you got to 'Learn' before you 'Earn'. Society is getting along with the new norms of online education as that's the only option, but don't you think that discipline is what students lack while being online. Although there are students who are eager to learn but majority of them are just there to mark attendance! Students have come up with such amazing yet unethical light bulbs, that can actually misguide teachers regarding students being present and attending the class. Its wonderful just to see them discover new techniques just to escape the online lectures but yet makes the tutors believe that they are listening with full heart and mind!
Teaching face to face had complete minds and bodies attracted towards the topic being taught and that too the teacher present physically could monitor them personally even those students who look absent mentally but present physically! Adding to this point Teachers could also be of extra help to those students who look blue while teaching some uneasy topics and also build a teacher- student bond.
Yes for sure the world is moving at an unbelievable speed where not just students but also individuals working has to enhance there knowledge and skills to cope up, for them online education is a blessing! This has a lot of benefits for people who find difficult to invest time on themselves as they are already preoccupied with other matters.

True. The incorrigible acts of few students during online classes have befuddled us. But personally I think that this lot wouldn't have been better while being in front of the teachers as they would easily fake paying attention and go back to their routine of disrespecting everyone. The ones who truly want to gather knowledge by any means, be it normal education or any unusual means would definitely respect the source of the knowledge.

Indeed, individuals with intentions will do so no matter what but majority just wants to add merit to their CV just to be more presentable, Hence the question of discipline arise.

It creates a sense of self dependency on students and lack of social interaction.

True, but social interation through internet is also important as development will inevitably take us on that path one way or another. It's of utmost importance that younger generation acquire that ability both in person and via internet.

IT'S A BOON FOR THE ONE WHO LIKES TO LEARN AND A CURSE FOR THE ONE WHO wants TO ESCAPE FROM LEARNING.
BUT THE ACCESS OF INTERNET CONNECTION IS A LUXURY TILL TODAY NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD IT.
SO, IF ONE HAS THE ENTHUSIASM TO STUDY BUT LACK INTERNET CONNECTION WILL DEFINITELY FIND IT AS A CURSE OR WE CAN SAY A BARRIER TO RECEIVE THE KNOWLEDGE THEY WANTED.
WE SHOULD ALSO AGREE WITH THE THING THAT ONLINE EDUCATION MADE STUDENTS OR LEARNERS TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION IN THIS PANDEMIC.
BUT IF THEY AREN'T ABLE TO CATCH TH POINTS OF LECTURES THEN THERE IS NO USE OF IT.

That's absolutely right and we sure hope for a way out of this. But they won't be missing out as when they join they'd certainly be able to catch up. Learners will learn in any situation, in whatever pace that is.

Perfectly said about internet being luxury till day in some places in India, Yet people like rickshaw drivers and others like them own a smartphone with Internet connection of "Not Naming" Company. What They actually lack is correct path guidance regarding online education and no information about getting enrolled in these courses are conveyed to them!

Due to online education, the entire student community is able to continue their education. Just imagine if there was no online system. The entire education sector would be in chaos and the student community would suffer from anxiety and depression. Their right to education would be taken away. Their time wasted.

It has both pro's and cons. Students can't concentrate on online teaching for long time. There will be health issues like headache. Uv lights effects eyes. But it is good like engaging students .
