The most awaited event of 2008 is the Olympics to be held in China in the month of August.So torch relay is trying to cover all parts of the world.In India this torch relay has created a horner's nest.Olympic torch should be carried only by the sportsperson or any celebrity can carry the torch?Only by seeing both sides of the coin we can come to a conclusion

One side of the coin: Olympic torch must be carried only by sports person.
Olympics is the dream for almost all the sport person in this earth.By this time they will all be practicing hard-core to get a medal in this high-profile event.So sports person deserve to carry the Olympic torch.There is no point in Film personalities and politicians to carry this torch.This is a sporting event and only sports person should participate in this.

Other side of the coin:Olympic is a event to show unity
Olympics is not a mere sporting event.It shows the unity of a country conducting it and its success is marked by peoples' enthusiasm and cheering.All people should come forward to support this event is marked by the participation of diverse people participating in this torch relay.So celebrities can carry torch.Moreover there is no rule stating only sports person should carry this torch.

Pour your thoughts now.According to me only sports person deserve to carry the Olympic torch.

the pride of the torch suites only in the hands of the sportsmen who knows the value of it so it is better to let the sporstmen carry the torch rather than actors like aamir khan carry it
 
No. Olympic is not only for sports person it is for common men also and everybody who is sport lover. We should not confined Olympic for for sports person only even common man also can carry Olympic torch.
 
i donot think only sporstmen deserve to carry torch.if celebrities will endorse then more and more people will become aware
 
these days olympics is not only a sports event. so i don't believe that the torch should be carried only by sportsmen..
