OBJECTIVES OF REGP:-
a) To generate employment in rural area
b) To develop entrepreneurial skill among the rural unemployed youth
c) To achieve the goal of rural industrialization
d) To mobilize Bank Finance looking to the limited resources of KVIC.
THE SCHEME:-
25% of the project cost for the project up to Rs 10 lakhs is provided as “Margin Money”.
For projects above Rs 10 lakhs and up to 25 lakhs, rate of margin money is 25% of Rs 10 lakhs plus 10% of the remaining cost of project. (Project cost beyond 25 lakhs is not eligible for financing under the scheme).
The institutions registered as ST/SC /OBC/Women/PH/Ex-servicemen and Minority are eligible for margin money @ 30% of the project up to 10 lakhs and 10% on remaining cost up to 25 lakhs.
Gram Udyog Rojgar Yojana is applicable for all viable village industries projects except village industries given in the negative list of village industries.
Only one person from one family eligible for obtaining finance under the Gram Udyog Rojgar Yojana.
