Project Goal

To enhance the Criminal J ustice Data Warehouse so that authorized personnel from the Courts,
Sheriff’s department, and Community Corrections will be able to develop additional reporting for
use by the Criminal J ustice Coordinating Council (CJ CC) and for the purpose of inmate
population management using the Business Objects tool suite thereby providing decision
support by September 30, 2006.

Business Objective
This scope includes but is not limited to these objectives:
• To define and implement enhancements to the current Local Administrative Order (LAO)
report. The LAO is considered a mandate pursuant to a local governing policy (LAO 06-
06 J ail Population Reduction Measures).

• To enhance the current Criminal J ustice Data Warehouse infrastructure to include Next
Event Date & Type and Last Event Date & Type from the Circuit Court and the 52
nd

District Courts.

• To define and implement additional reports for the purpose of managing the jail inmate
population.

• To enhance the current Criminal J ustice Data Warehouse infrastructure to include the
Prosecutor’s Name for Circuit Court cases.

• To enhance the Criminal J ustice Data Warehouse infrastructure to include data from the
State J IS system.

• Amend the data warehouse data structures per user reporting
requirements.
• Amend programs to move data from sources identified in the Discovery
Document
• Amend if needed operational batch scheduling
• Amend the physical data warehouse data structures
• Enhance and test data movement programs
• Enhance and verify BusinessObjects Universes
• Enhance and test operational batch schedules
• Implement all components in a production environment
• As enhancements are identified and the estimated number of hours
determined for additional functionality to enhance the CJ DW system,
detailed tasks and hours will be added to the project plan and the budget
task decremented.
