The*benchmark*indices*erased*their*early*gains*and*closed*with*modest*gain*of*21*points*at*16,810*after*RIL*plunged*4*%*to*close*at*Rs*2,047*after*Hardy*Oil*said*it*has*not*found*any*hydrocarbon*in*D9*block*exploration*well*of*KG*basin.*RIL*owns*90*%*interest*in*D9*block*while*Hardy*oil*has*10*%.*Hardy*Oil,*the*stock*was*down*36%*in*London*Stock*Exchange.*Nifty*closed*below*5K*at*4,997*up*just*8*points*after*touching*an*intraday*high*of*5,054*and*low*of*4,983.*The*market*breadth*was*flat*at*the*end*of*the*session*and*total*traded*turnover*was*at*Rs*1,01,491*cr.*The*Oct*nifty*future*ended*with*8*points*premium*and*the*Nov*nifty*future*ended*with*11*points*premium.*For*the*week*the*Sensex*ended*nearly*3*%*lower*as*global*cues*and*worries*about*valuations*dragged*Indian*markets*down*despite*good*corporate*earnings.
