The Sensex closed at 16,994 up 22 points while Nifty shut at 5,089 up 8 point after trading in the range of 5,117- 5,068. The Sensex ended for the week up by 3.4% . The Small cap and Mid cap indices were also up by 0.82% and 0.62% respectively. The breadth continued to remain strong and the markets turnover recorded at Rs 90,088Cr. The Nifty Mar Fut ended with 2 points discount.
