Asian stocks fell from a two‐week high as Qantas Airways Ltd.’s earnings missed analyst estimates and declining metal prices dragged down mining companies. Qantas, Australia’s biggest airline plunged 7.1 percent. The MSCI index fell 0.3 percent to 117.85 in Tokyo. The index, which climbed yesterday by the most since November, had dropped 8.2 percent from a 17‐month high on Jan. 15 on speculation central banks will tighten monetary policy, and that Greece, Spain and Portugal will struggle to curb deficits.
