The Sensex fell 213 points to end at 17,009 after selling pressure was seen in the last hour of the session. The Nifty ended 50 points lower at 5,063 after hitting an intra-day low of 5,051. Auto, banking, sugar and metal stocks were the worst hit in today’s trade, while buying was seen in airline stocks, IT and real estate stocks. The market breadth turned negative and total traded turnover stood at Rs 91,898 cr. The Oct nifty future ended with 5 points premium and the Nov nifty future ended with 14 points premium at 5,077.
