The Sensex finished at 17,097 down 21 points after trading in the range of 17,275 and 17,048. Nifty ended 11 points lower at 5,105 after touching an intraday high of 5,156. Buying was seen IT, capital goods and cement counters while banking, FMCG, telecom and metals remained under pressure. The breadth was negative and the markets reported total turnover of Rs 91,486 cr.
