Newspapers v/s Internet

the best part about reading newspaper is the information is concise in the manner that you can qiuckly read what you wished to, you can go in for ET, Mint for financial new, etc.

however on internet lot of time is wasted on finding out the right things.
 
I still believe newspapaer is better!
You can not be concetrated on your PC screen for a long time (especially when you are reading something).
 
internet definitely beats newspaper ... you can't do a google or text search on a newspaper and neither can you copy and paste text out into a document like you can with documents off the internet
 
All of this depends from place to place.. In india .. it is still news papaer ... Future enterprenures can surely bug on Internet as a medium especially goverment going the IT way
 
well internet is more useful than newspapers coz the information we get on any topic is much more than required..ofcourse it also creats confusion whereas newspapers info is limited and only related..
we can surf the internet sitting at one place for all the info necessary whereas newspapers require much physical work.. but on contrast it has its own benifit in rural areas where there is no internet facility.
 
acc to me still newspaper has a supreme presence in india but with d time and advent of technology indian will be addicted to the internet as the news and other value added services in internet are much better than newpaper

well really answer for this question is really a tough one coz according to me there no comparison between newspapers and internet coz each people have different prespective about internet and newsparpers ............. :SugarwareZ-180:
as i uses internet i may choose internet better thn newspapers coz i can refer to it easily but millions of people wihtout internet facility will prefer newpapers and offcourse one get exclusive news on net but mainly news on newspapers are more trustfulll............
so i here myself is confused whatis better NEWSPAPERS OR INTERNET ...........
but then also ill go with

as we knw india is the youngest nation of this world out of every 10 people 8 r below 25 yrs of age with the technology comin into their life eductaion standard increase and natural resources vanishes there
 
well newspaper is good source of information than internet...coz on net anyone can post any in information v cant exatly confirm the source of that info......

so my hand is up for newspaper
 
The Internet will definitely dominate the newspaper.
This is evident in the falling ad revenues of many newspapers across the globe. After all, everything is market driven.
 
no comparison can be drawn b/w the two & the debate is useless since both have their own niche . none can sustitute the other . yes , it's true internet is an unlimited source of any sort of information availaible in the world but it cant have the sort of peneteration the paper enjoys . as far as daily news & the likes is concerned i would surely prefer a rs 2 paper to net.
 
The Internet is becoming a very powerful source of government accountability, since government agencies at all state and federal levels are being forced to make their files and data available to the public. There is no higher level of accountability than for millions of Indians to be able to pull up Internet records instantly on their government. Print newspapers never did this for us

Taken your point here Prem..but the other aspect being..that every media has its relative importance.. A whole variety of economic, political and cultural factors determine which media are most important in different regions.Among other things this is generally understood to mean that television plays a dominant role as the medium of information. While this is increasingly true, it is not universally so....so I think its neither of print nor Internet that is effective over Television...janta's perspective???
 
People who travel need a newspaper. Otherwise in future the sales of newspaper will go down.

In US internet is more popular.

if u talk about television having to be more effective..the question of reach of television comes up...does the television has its reach in the remote places...if yes...is cable television available there..?? same goes for internet..which have a even lesser reach than tv...
if we talk about reach...newspapers are more effective..
and if we talk about the amount of information..internet is more effective....
 
The latest updates and information can be found in internet and it is not possible in newspapers.The online news reaches to a huge mass.
