New Vice-Chairman of BankMuscat

MUSCAT — Sulaiman bin Mohammed al Yahyai, who served as Director for the past 15 years, has been appointed Vice-Chairman of BankMuscat. Among the varied roles, he is a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of BMI Bank, Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al Yahyai holds an MBA- Institute of Financial Management — University of Wales, UK (2000), certificate in Asset Management — Lausanne University, Switzerland (2002), and a certificate in Financial Crisis — Harvard University, USA (1999).
Al Yahyai’s financial and management skills are reflected in the top positions held by him in leading companies. He serves as Chairman and Director of several leading companies in Oman, and has contributed to the success and progress of these companies. He possesses strong relationships with leading
businessmen and officials in the country.
Al Yahyai presently serves as Investment Adviser at the Royal Court Affairs; Chairman, Oman Chlorine Co SAOG; Chairman, Oman Integrated Tourism Project Fund; Chairman, Oman Income Fund; Director, Al Madina Real Estate Co SAOC; Director, Falcon Insurance SAOC.
Commenting on the new appointment, Al Yahyai said: “I am honoured to be appointed as Vice-Chairman of BankMuscat, the leading banking institution in Oman.
This is a challenging responsibility and my priority is to fulfil the trust and confidence reposed in me by the board of directors, shareholders and all stakeholders to sustain and strengthen the leadership position of the bank.”
