"The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay presents Eureka! 2011- an International Business Plan Competition. With prizes in excess of INR 2.4 million (USD 52000). The participating teams get a chance to receive intensive mentoring, along with content-rich feedback from leading corporates & entrepreneurs, legal & financial consultancy, and extensive networking opportunities.

Major Incentives of Business Sector



  • Winners to get cash prize of INR 5,00,000 and Runner- Up of INR 3,00,000.

    Angel Funding: Chance to pitch in front of a panel of Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists.

    Consultancy opportunities: Seminars on Legal and Financial issues from the field experts like Nishith Desai and Associates.

    Flamingo Ventures: Chance to be a part of "Inception" program which provides start-up investment before the start. The teams will be provided with mentoring, seed funding and incubation opportunities if selected.



  • Startup Paathshaala: A 12-hour extensive startup training program inclusive of a startup kit and certification

Eureka! Social:

The B-Plans which cater to BoP’s (Bottom of Pyramid) and / or environment will be classified as Social, and the entries will be judged, mentored and evaluated separately. The B-Plan should have a definite revenue model and should be self sustainable in the long run.The mentors, judges and resources in Eureka! Social will be specific to Social Ventures, with the timeline being the same as Eureka!.

Major Incentives of Social Sector:

Winners to get cash prize of INR 1,00,000 and Runner- Up of INR 50,000.

The top 3 winners will get direct entry to Dell Social Innovation Competition, organized jointly by The University of Texas and Dell.

Incubation Opportunities at Villigro, UnLtd India.

Funding Opportunity at Grameen Creative Lab

Special Awards:

Top finalists of Eureka! '11 will get a chance to to be one among the top 35 teams chosen from across the world for E-Bootcamp organised by the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES), Stanford.

Best entry of Technological and Sustainable Development will be awarded INR 3,00,000.
