New Human Species Have Been Discovered By Scientists

Homo Naledi is the new human species discovered which was buried deep underground in a South African cave. Scientists have discovered the fossilised bones skeleton of 15 individuals and they are near about hundreds of thousands years old. They were small (no bigger than 5ft tall and 7 stones in weight) and smaller than us. Homo Naledi is a unique species with narrow shoulders and curved fingers which would have helped them in climbing. Their orange size brain had the sense of ritual burial, a perfect proof of being a human. Scientists believe the skeletons represent a new species within the Homo genus.
The hands suggest tool-using capabilities. Surprisingly, H. Naledi has extremely curved fingers, more curved than almost any other species of early hominins, which clearly demonstrates climbing abilities. Tracy Kivell of the University of Kent, and part of the research team said. With almost every bone in the body represented multiple times, Homo Naledi is already practically the best-known member of our lineage. The combination of anatomical features in H. Naledi distinguishes it from any previous known species. Professor Lee Berger of the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg added.
Well, everyday some or the other discovery takes place, leaving us incredulous and flummoxed. There are myriads of questions that hover after reading such stories. Who they are and what was the pattern of their living, and so on, such questions infuriates us, yet increase the anxiety level. Scientists are taking a strenuous effort to solve this riddle and soon they will be able to answer all our unanswered questions.
