Re: Namibia UNI:executive mba

executive mba
Introduction
Success in today’s global business climate demands highly specialized global business managers. Rapid contemporary changes in economic policies and structures, including the globalization of industries and markets, are driving countries, organizations and individuals toward the search for a competitive edge. It is managerial capability that may prove to be the most critical building stone for the competitive edge of tomorrow. Executives who are fulfilling a managerial task, or who are performing a managerial role in our business structure today, will require a broad mix of skills that may differ considerably from traditional wisdom. Without these skills they may not be able to either gain or maintain the competitive advantage essential for success.

Specializations are offered in:
• International Business
• Facility Management (Dutch program)
Target Group
The MSM Executive MBA Programs are designed specifically for middle management executives, the self-employed, and the aspiring consultants in general management who have full-time job responsibilities. Therefore, they cannot afford to attend classes on a full-time basis.
Admission Procedures and Requirements
Admission to the MSM Executive MBA Program takes place on a competitive basis. Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (HBO in the Netherlands) or its professional equivalent. Proficiency in English is absolutely essential. Preference will be given to applicants with at least five years managerial experience. To apply, candidates should submit a completed application form, copies of academic transcripts, two letters of reference, and an application fee of € 120.
Program Structure and Duration
The MSM Executive MBA Program is designed to be completed in 24 months. Lectures and classes are conveniently paced and are conducted in seven modules of nine days each, followed by a three-month break. This enables the participants to be away from their jobs for only a minimum period of time.

Re: Namibia UNI:Outreach MBA

Outreach MBA
Introduction
Target Group
MSM, in its continuous effort to promote solid management education and provide access to such education to as many individuals as possible, recognizes the need for management training in specific regions. Because of job responsibilities, a great number of individuals seeking to obtain an MBA degree are unable to leave their country for a full year of studies in Maastricht. To serve these individuals, a number of MBA Outreach programs have been established in various countries. The design of the MBA Outreach programs enables participants to combine their normal employment with MBA studies. To increase the value of these programs, MSM strives to provide them with region specific flavors in places where such programs are high in demand.

The MBA Outreach programs are designed for the same individuals who would have attended the MBA programs in Maastricht. The MBA Outreach Programs require the same minimum entry requirements as the MBA Programs in Maastricht. The program structure and content are very similar to those of the MBA programs offered in Maastricht. MSM’s MBA Outreach programs have proven to be very popular among self sponsored individuals who wish to pursue management training, but have to maintain their current employment to finance such training.
MSM MBA Programs in the World
MSM conducts MBA Outreach programs on a regular basis in Al Khobar, Almaty, Arusha, Amman, Cairo, Haikou, Harare, Jakarta, Kampala, Kigali, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait City, Lima, Lilongwe, Lusaka, Nairobi, Nanjing, Paramaribo, Shanghai, Shekou, Ulaanbaatar, Jeddah, Windhoek and Ho Chi Minh City.
The MSM MBA Outreach programs are normally slower paced than the full-time MBA programs offered in Maastricht. The MBA Outrea ch Programs usually last 18 - 24 months. This slower paced training injects a flexibility into the programs which takes the needs of individuals with full-time job responsibilities into account. This flexibility enables for classes to be scheduled after official working hours and during weekends.
After successful completion of the program, which is concluded with written examinations and research papers, the relevant MBA degree is awarded. Some of these degrees may be joint MBA degrees from MSM and its local partner institute. Otherwise, MSM awards its own degree.
