About Sarthak Dhar:
Sarthak Dhar is a Student of University of Mumbai, Thane. He is a second year Student of B..M.S.-M.B.A.(INTEGRATED M.B.A)
I am a management student currently doing my graduation in second year of B.M.S . I may not be a hard worker but I'm definitely a smart woker and I plan to become an entrepreneur one day. I love keeping myself abreast with the changes happening in the Indian economy and political issues affecting the nation. My hobbies are singing and surfing various stuff on internet.
University of Mumbai, Thane sub campus is a new sub campus of Mumbai university offering integrated degrees in M.B.A and Law and also has the facility of distance learning. The faculties are either decent or good. For certain subjects, the visiting faculties have the entire charge. The college crowd in general is decent in all aspects. Canteen is comparatively cleaner than many other canteens you would come across in the city's colleges although it's small. It serves both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes from 10:00 am to as late as 4:45 pm. Not many hangouts immediately outside the college, however there are two- three popular malls within 3km radius . Since its just the 2nd year of the college and only 4 divisions are operational,no official fests as such although there are various events both cultural and sports in every semester.
Being an integrated course it offers more knowledge at graduation level itself and also gives you assurity of a post graduate degree that too from Mumbai university.
As a student aspiring to become an entrepreneur one day, I feel the management education system should focus much more on leadership skills and making every student inculcate these skills through various activities. More and more management workshops should be a part of curriculum and a lot of focus should be on enhancing oratory skills.
My dad has inspired me the most. Even at 48, he still studies much more than me and just doesn't get tired while doing his research work.
Just study regularly in order to excel in exams and side by side keep improving your skillset because life, unlike exams, often asks you questions that you are unprepared for.
When to start? Should one first gain experience by working or start right after education? How to remain at the top?
As mentioned above, become an entrepreneur.
