Mumbaikars are the Lifeline of Mumbai Instead of Local Trains

Local trains are considered to be the lifeline of Mumbai and why not; it carries tons of people every day. Travelling in train during peak hours is like standing at the front during a war, you have to struggle hard to survive. If we stop local trains for few hours, it brings Mumbai at a halt and the speedy Mumbai will run at the speed of a snail. Believe me, or not, but we curse the overcrowded trains. Yet, we travel because we don’t have any choices. People put their life on a stake while travelling on local trains, our family pray that we return safely, sometimes it is answered and sometimes it gets fade away. Whom to blame, our destiny, karma or the sloth government whose plans are only implemented on paper.
Yesterday, Myriads of commuters faced a freaky and panic situation when several coaches of a Western Railway train derailed at around 11 am on Tuesday near Vile Parle station. Seven coaches of a local train today derailed between Andheri and Vile Parle stations in suburban Mumbai, disrupting traffic on the busy route linking Churchgate in South Mumbai to Virar, PTI reported.
Well, that’s okay, but what happens after that, no one noticed. I just lost my cell phone, my shirt and bags were just ripped from one side, I am not the only one. There were myriads of people who faced such freaky train incidents. Even, while returning back, the situation was of no ease, people were again faced the same situation. Mumbai, the financial capital of India took whole one day and the counting is still on to control the matter and we say we are moving towards development, a perfect irony.

No doubt, Trains are considered to be the lifeline of Mumbai because it carries not just one person, it carries the whole family embedded in that one person. But, it will be wrong to give a whole credit to the local trains; we the people deserve the credit. Mumbai is the only place where people are motivated at an extent, where they will travel in a drastic condition to do their job. Look at this video and you will know why People of Mumbai are also the lifeline of Mumbai.
