As regards the above question i personally have two broad views both positive as well as negative.
Firstly : As globalisation is a realtity & not a myth, we shall learn to accomodate cultures of Western countries. India is a part of a global village & there is bound to be intermingling of different cultures. But we should not abandon our own cultural values, beliefs & should represent them in every walks of life. We should be open to new ideas , new beliefs &
at the same time present ours & make it's presence felt everywhere.
Secondly: cultures keep on changing , if pepole like somthing they will hang around with it for mor time and if they dont they will jus leav it in between. well when MTV CULTURE came it was the youth who was most attracted to it coz it was really somthing new they (mtv guys ) exihibited such outwardness that surely it was bound to tak young generation (who got bored leaving a monotonus life ) along with it . They (MTV ) were full full of glitz n glamaour . they took on the topics which were considersd taboo even in metro cities , such openess might had som negativ effects on young siblings but why dont u understand that it happens when we transforms frm one culture to another , they may hav indirectly showed ( doping, drinkin, smoking) mor glamorous n characteristics props of so called DUDES but don u think it has brought more openess in our culture they hav made young generation more mature . if we can take the positiv points with us n drop the negative ones , its not bad na !!!!!!!!!!1
