Key Note estimates that the mobile phones industry saw a slight increase in mobile phone revenues in 2011. However, the share of the total mobile and landline industry accounted for by mobile retail increased by 0.9 percentage points in 2011 and now stands at 62.8%. Looking to the future, the mobile phones industry is certainly going to be subject to more technological advances, which will no doubt drive the industry and convince consumers to continue to upgrade their hardware and ultimately result in high profits. Furthermore, the availability of 4G services will help the industry in upgrading technology.
