Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and Hospital conducts a Joint entrance test (MGDCH JET) for the admission to the BDS courses offered by the institute. This exam is conducted on each year for the selection of most eligible candidates. Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and Hospital invite application from the interested candidates each year. The BDS programme offered by the institute has duration of five years. This institute is a prestigious medical institute of India. The exam is really tough one and many candidates apply for the test.
Structure of MGDCH JET
The most important requirement needed for the candidates to get admission for the BDS courses offered by Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital is to pass the written test conducted by them. The written test is a test consists of multiple type questions. The written test consists of two papers of questions. The questions in the two papers are to evaluate the candidate’s knowledge in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For each questions four options are provided. One of the four alternatives is the correct answer and the candidates have to pick it from the alternative and mark it in the OMR sheet. Those who clear the written test will be selected for the BDS courses. Those who pass the written test will have to attend for a group discussion and interview.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates having completed their Higher Secondary Examination or any other equivalent examination from any recognized board with minimum 50% marks can apply for the test. The candidates should have studied the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in their plus two. The SC/St candidates have to secure 45% marks in their qualifying examinations. The candidates must have to attain 17 years of age at the time of the admission. There is no any higher age limit for applying the test.
How to Apply?
The application form and the information bulletin is available from the sale counter of Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and hospital. The interested candidates can buy the form directly from the institute by the payment of the application fee. The candidates need to receive the form by post have to send a letter and demand draft of application fee to the Chairman of the institute. The cost of the MGDCH Jet application form is Rs.1500 for the general candidates and Rs.450/- for other reservation category candidates. The applicants can also submit the form through the official website.
How to fill the Form?
The application form should be on the format prescribed in the exam notification. The application form should be filled by the candidates himself. The data entered in the form using a black ink pen. The online applicants have to upload the photo and signature of the candidates. It should be within the size as mentioned in the exam notification. The form should not be stapled or wrinkled. The data filled in the form could not be changed later. So all the details filled in the form must be correct. The fee payment details should be filled in the form correctly. The demand draft of Rs. 1550/- should be enclosed with the application form. The candidates should send the form before the due date.
