Greater Noida June 16, 2014, Merit will be the only legal currency for young management professionals and the winning mantra will be 'Compete and Win', says Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, eminent educationist and Director of Birla Institute of Management Technology, cautioning young learners that in real-life the world of business does not offer any entitlements.
In an address to the students at the 27th Commencement Day event, over the weekend, Dr Chaturvedi said each one of the 429 students, joining the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), were selected on the basis of their academic grounding, winning attributes and strong potential to do well.
"The committed faculty at BIMTECH will guide, support and mentor you at the fully residential campus, during your two years here. Your attitude and commitment will strengthen your foundation and prepare you for winning in a competitive world," he added.
Comparing management education to a marathon Dr Chaturvedi said sustained hard work demanded by a professional institute is not easy, but is certainly doable. He urged the PGDM students to use the learning process at BIMTECH to build lasting competencies and life skills by being totally committed.
The employers of the future will look for steely management graduates tempered in fire. BIMTECH will provide tempering that will enable the students to mould, adapt and grow into increasingly complex roles, in a fiercely competitive global environment.
