merci killing should be there or not??

In the Indian Judicial system, Capital Punishment is permitted only in the "rarest of the rarest" cases. And then too, there is an option of challenging that verdict. I propose to find out a middle road. Keep Euthanasia as a rarest of the rarest option and deal with it on a case to case basis. There are many factors to be determined. What is the underlying reason for which the patient wishes to die? Can it be solved through some psychological methods? Is there any possibility of this decision being taken under stress or compulsion?.... Lets remember that in India, more than the pain, it is the financial or social implications resulting from the disease that make the patient want to die. Euthanasia is not the answer then. Treat it on a case to case basis. Its time consuming, but still viable.

i dont agree with mercy killing we hav no right to take someone's life we hav to leave it in the hands of god

mercy killin shud b allowed only if nothin else works.....it is hard 4 sum1 to see their loved 1s in pain....so mercy killin shud only b done 4 d extreme cases where nothin else will work....let dat person die in peace rather than suffering sooo much...

mercy killing can be legalised but as we all knw laws r meant to b broken especially in INDIA so it can have many ill effects like pooja mentioned earlier..

merci killing should be there cause there are lot of people suffering and do not wish to suffer but it should be at the will of the sufferrer and not anyone else......

There should be a provision for mercy killing and the decision should be of the patient who is suffering and the doctors who are treating him as they will be the best authority to be consulted before taking this decision, since they would be knowing the status of the patient and wether he has any chance of recovery or not

legalisation of mercy killing shud not be misused........its shud be purely on the consent of the patient........if the patient prefers ending his life rather than ailing in pain .........then it is correct to do so..............
but i wud say no person has right on other's life

if u dont hav d right to create a life u dont even have a right to destroy it also ..........
who knows d person in pain may be feeling like dying rather than being in pain but u never know how much more life does he/she has u dont know how much d person is gonna live its all decided by d almighty so lets leave it upto him onyl rather than v deciding it n becomin d almighty................
