Mcx Gold, silver continue downward trend

While also opened on a weak note at Rs 48,406, the silver futures in December, down Rs 233 from its previous close of Rs 48.639.

Then the price of silver trimmed some of its early losses and touched one day’s high of Rs 48,434.

Further weakened the Indian gold and fell to a low of Rs 48,292 in morning deals.

The mcx silver futures is now at 0.7 per cent (previous year: Rs 319) at Rs 48,320.

December futures Gold prices traded down at the COMEX platform and ended at $1324, down by $12. At the MCX, the same contract ended at Rs 29,419, down by Rs 455. Although there were no major developments yesterday, the US data was mostly mixed, eventually keeping gold prices lower. Interestingly, there is no activity at the world’s largest gold-backed ETF and the holdings continue to remain unchanged at 909.59.
