MBA (Finance) OR CA......Which is better?

i think.MBA fin is much better than CA. What gyan u get in MBA is above all your fin fundas. You get to know much more than core finance. And dear believe me if ur idea of life is just to do core fin job and not to live life then go for CA, otherwise go for MBA

CA would anytime be preffered with due respect to both the degrees which would seem nearly equivalent in Practice.... but in the meanwhile there is a technical difference. MBA Finance people are usually Management graduates would not know the in depth technicalities. So CA should be preffered over MBA finance

ca is best specially if u want to become specialist in finance:SugarwareZ-239::SugarwareZ-239::SugarwareZ-239:

Obviously, C.A. is better because M.B.A. Finance people have to do marketing job on starting period when they have no experience and today's MBA becomes more common while C.A. maintains its standards and every student got core and prestigious job.

definitely mba is better..it gives you chance to advance your career at the topmost level n also it prepares you to becum enterprenuer.:SugarwareZ-290:

CA COVERS MANY SUBJECTS LIKE LAW,COST ACCOUNTING ,ETC IN DEPTH AND IN A MORE DETAILED FASHION COMPARED TO MBA FINANCE(I GUESS).SO THAT GIVE CA THE EDGE!!

Having done MBA Finance, I realise that only those who have done their MBA from among the top institutes in the country get really meaningful jobs. Others get either sales or back-office operations. There are a few lucky students who get core finance jobs. Also, the colleges do not really provide good teaching and other essential skills. There are only a select few colleges who ensure overall development of the students making them job-ready.
Against this, I think CA is definitely a better option. There are a good number of students today who are successfully completing their CA course. So if you put in good amount of efforts you will definitely succeed.

Also the idea that CA is more of accounting and MBA is more analytical does not hold true. MBA in fact lacks sufficient accounting knowledge while CA is equally analytical.
The notion that MBA gives you overall view of business while CA doesn't is true to some extent, however it does not make a very big difference. What you need rather is commonsense to understand those areas like Marketing or Operations. A person who has not studied these indepth but has sufficient commonsense will be able to make sense of it whenever he encounters situations involving these. Else, you can read a textbook used by MBA students in order to grasp the basics of these subjects.
