My dear friend! There will be difference learning and then acting (MBA), and learning while acting. Second one is a good way for those who born with management skills...like Dheerubhai Ambani. And the first one makes you learn in a good MBA course, be professional and then act. For an ordinary person, there is obviously more scope of winning in the first way.

Thats true..i was also very keen before joining for 'THE MBA' but the curriculum is far too generalized..it does groom our personalities but it totally depends on the individual & the college /faculty ..but the course as such will not guarentee the managerial aspects of business..

It comes only through experience, which can be achieved without MBa...
Now a days it has become a fashion to have a MBA degree... but at the end of the day.. it hardly matters .. when u jump in the practically..it matters how much income due u bring for the company....

wel.. i feel mba is necessary to fetch a high profile job.
it is just value added in our graduation degree...
rest is al dependent on how v work.

MBA degree is now consider with your basic qualification ie. B.bom,Bsc.,BE ...Employier check your basic qualifaction and then check your management capabilities. After 5 years you must have MBA degree, if you want to get good job....

i agree that mba degree is not needed to be a manger..... mba degree is only to get a good placement instead people should go to some placement agency and get a good job as it will save the mba fees and time of two years....

It is jus a hyped degree whose popularity has reached a peak.....every 2nd person is an MBA so no real value left...

well...mba degree is not the requiremnt to become a manager...if u r skilled,intelligent,bold....n smart enuff to handle the projects then y to waste our time in mba

degree is not necessary.............you must have an open mind...........ready to listen to others opinion............

and the most important thing...........well rounded personality

The main reason to attend school is to increase your salary potential and advance your career. Because graduates who hold an MBA degree are eligible for jobs that would not be offered to those who hold only a high school diploma, an MBA degree is almost a necessity in today’s business world.

In most cases, an MBA degree is required for executive and senior management positions. There are some companies who will not even consider applicants unless they have an MBA degree. People who hold an MBA degree will find that there are many different types of employment opportunities that are available to them.

Education is a wonderful thing. Degrees of all levels can open doors that would otherwise be closed. However, I think getting an MBA for the sake of having an MBA (which is what most of my friends did) is useless.

One friend just wanted to stay in school and an MBA was the next step. With her Masters degree she has held jobs as a lower-management employee, as a website designer and now she generates reports (repetitive work).

The other, however, is a teacher and specifically got her MBA so she could further her career. She uses her degree and it got her a massive raise once she completed her studies.

I think experience is much more valuable than a degree, personally.
