Masters in Management (MSc) vs MBA?

One top UK business school withdrew its full-time MBA offer to me, but instead offered Executive MBA or Masters in Management (MSc) with partially paid fees. I don't want to do Executive because anyway it is the same as full-time MBA, but does not suit my lifestyle.
However, in order not to be pregidous, I want to learn what advantages MSc in Management can offer in comparison with MBA. My objective is to work for a business consultant in future, I want to learn what is practical. I read explanation in Wikipedia about MSc in Management and it looks it is very theoretical, i.e. not for me. But what other differences? People with which degree earn more and who get better career progress?
Thank you.

HI,
Most of the universities doesnt provide all the courses mentioned in the curriculum...
they will give u a offer letter and will only announce to u that the course is not available only after reaching the university...
so be careful when choosing the course... check with the students there whether the course is available or not... u can get them in orkut communities

If regular MBA program doesn’t suits your lifestyle then you can pursue MBA degree through online education curses also available at various top ranked US universities.

If outside of UK, I will say MBA since most ppl know whats in the MBA degree. Even I don't know whats in the MS ..

If you are in UK, some IM firms will know LBS MS of Fin than go for it. But in general, get the general degree.

As an Experienced IT Professional, the Msc in Management made a lot of Sense. But again there are definite advantages to MBA which are relevant but I would say wager that these are more relevant to fresh candidates??
Anybody agrees with this view point?
