Master of Chirurgiae, which is known as M.Ch is a most advanced post graduate program in the surgical field. It is a three year program which is sharing the same status as that of Doctor of Medicine. M Ch Entrance Exam Pattern
The pattern of entrance examination for the Master of Chirurgiae will be different according to the admission test. Usually the examination questions will be consisting of MCQ with duration of three hours or three and half hours with 250-300 questions and the syllabus will be of the MBBS program. The admission test also covers the syllabus of MS program and also evaluates the practical paper for evaluating the candidates’ understanding in the application part.

M Ch course curriculum
The Master Chirurgiae is a three year course and it is mostly based on clinical skills and practical’s which will be very much helpful in real life surgical procedures. Candidates will also be a part of surgical operations. M Ch provides to the Doctor an advanced ability in surgery. The training is a full time residential one were the candidate should reside there by attending more than 80% of the training during every calendar year, and full time responsibility is given in assignments and participation in all the processes.
First Year
Duties as house man(with patients only)
Exposure to ICU and Ventilators
Academic works like Journal Club/Topic discussions
Submission of research projects
Surgical works - as an assistant in all surgical procedures
Second Year
Ward responsibilities + out patients
Project work
Perform emergency and elective operations
Academic presentations
Surgical work as outlined in the table
Third Year (for First 6 months)
Ward responsibilities similar to 2nd year + out patients
Emphasis on completion of projects/data analysis
