Hiring of David Moyes has been a downfall for Manchester has the previous season’s winners have secured a position in the 6th place of the Barclays Premier League. The champions have a string of loses with a lot of mistakes committed in the Mid field as well as the defense. The only position which is strong for the team is the attack. Forwards Wayne Rooney and Daniel Welbeck are in a super form but due to the lack of proper Mid fielders and defensive players they haven’t been able to display their talent. Javier Hernandez also has been sidelined and couldn’t display is scintillating form. Out of form wingers Nani and Ashley Young have been a weak link in the team and haven’t delivered properly. Veteran Mid fielders Michael Carrick and Daniel Fletcher have been holding the fort for Manchester United. Adnan Janujaj have showed a marvelous game talent and could be a permanent answer for the teams weakening mid field. Veteran Mid Fielder Ryan Giggs who is 38 years old have still been playing for the champions and have been instrumental for them. Shinji Kagawa who was signed from Borussia Dortmund last season has not been used upto his talent and has been sidelined. Recent signings Marounne Fellaini and Juan Mata have been used up to their mark and have been some revalation for them.

Defensive problems have been on the rise with the ageing defensive duo Nemadja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand who are leaving the champions in the next season. Patrice Evra has been holding the right back defensive position for quite a few years but he too is leaving the champions with the transfer to Inter Milan next season. Nemadja Vidic has already signed a deal with Inter Milan. Ferdinand is retiring next season or could leave for the States.

A silver lining for the club could be the signing of William Carvalho for the next season from Sporting Lisbon and Toni Kroos from Bayern for the next season. DAVID Moyes has to sign players and let go of a few players to reclaim their title for the next season.

Manchester United, one of the most storied and successful clubs in English football, faced a significant challenge when David Moyes took the helm as manager in the summer of 2013. The appointment of Moyes, who had enjoyed a long and successful tenure at Everton, was seen by many as a safe and steady choice to follow in the monumental footsteps of Sir Alex Ferguson. However, the transition proved to be far more difficult than anticipated. Moyes's tenure was marked by a series of setbacks, both on and off the pitch. The team struggled to replicate the dominance and consistency that had defined the Ferguson era, leading to a disappointing season that saw them finish seventh in the Premier League, their lowest league finish in over two decades.

Critics pointed to Moyes's conservative tactical approach and his inability to integrate new signings effectively into the team. The club's performances were often lackluster, and the fans' patience wore thin as the season progressed. Despite some positive moments, such as the FA Cup run, the overall sentiment was one of disappointment and frustration. The board's decision to part ways with Moyes after just one season reflected the high expectations and the club's intolerance for mediocrity.

In retrospect, it is clear that the task of succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson was an almost impossible one, and the pressure placed on Moyes was immense. While Moyes brought a wealth of experience and a proven track record, the unique culture and legacy of Manchester United required a different set of skills and a more nuanced approach. The club's subsequent managerial changes and the ongoing search for stability and success highlight the complexity of the challenge Moyes faced and the enduring impact of Ferguson's legacy on the club.
