managers or enterpreneurs -what should be the objective of b-school???

india today needs more entreprenaurs than managers
so ai shall be to make more and more entreprenaurs
they are the one who will lead our country to growth

B- school - what is it? A BUSINESS SCHOOL. If one Goes by the name we can in simple layman language say its a school which teaches about doiung business. So a business can be started by an individual who can be termed as an enterpreneur. In today's scenario where there is a slowdown in economy we see attrition rate increasing. Companies are cutting down on human assets. A B-school must focus on generating entrepreneurs. Yeah! its not an easy process not every man can become one.But the skills that will be taught in the B-school can help an individual to focus on his weaknesses and help him or rather inspire him and make him think of whether is he capable of it??

an entreprenuer has far more superior brain n creative mind..intellectual thn a manager...so B school focus must b on entreprenuers..coz an entreprenuers is newayz a gr8 manager himself.... nt a big write up..but in simple words..this wht i feel..

managment has never been so easy.. teaching management in the millions of todays money making institutions in this country has never been so easier..Today students are structured to think in the ways of great business men.. encouraged to read management books by these people, and while making these student 'another brick on the wall' out tutors forget the essential ingredient of a good manager- Ennterpreneurship. They fail to show us that all these great business managers where once Entrepreneurs. In the Quest to make one's name and to fatten one's purse they forget the essentials. they all love to be stero types and be happy with the money they get from 'illetrate graduates'. Most Certainly Enterpreneurship should be the objective on the b schools. 'One cannot manage himself without knowing himself'

Whatever it is? the main point for either manager or enterpreneurs is to manage on ground or grass root level

i feel its not b school tat can teach u to be a manager or entrepreneur
its on the person whether he possess the quality of being a business man or manager u cant put in any qualities or train anybody to b something

i think b-schools should concentrate more on producing entrepreneurs which would in turn lead to generation of employment n hence creation of wealth

ood Bschools can create enterprenurs and the eye eye pea yum's can stick to producing managers by the ton ... not everyone can be an enterprenur , i for one think its not possible to create enturprenurship , u can only nurture it ... ofcourse a lot of bschools are intent on killing it by solid faltoo course content and too much emphasis on procedures and routines ....

The objective of the B-school should be to make students proficient in their interest, be it Entreprenurhip or Managers.

In my opinion entreprenures r born, they caanot be made...... The famous B-school can only explore the qualites ,which r present in them.So the objective of b-school should be managers & explore their qualities....

With my first step in my college, I was rather myself a curious case. I dint knew what practical they would let me into for an entrepreneurship course while my other friends were taking up general management courses. But positively I graduated with my EME (Enterprise Management and Entrepreneurship) program from ICECD, Ahmedabad in a year. My other firends were doing their summers in some companies and I was busy meeting with my finance consultants to start my own ventures. However, many of MBA graduates might think of starting their own ventures or companies 5-10 years down the line, but the cross functional expertise is sometimes not added to their skills by experience also. Provided this, they land up in doing the same job for years and never could start up their business.
MBA colleges should also focus on how/what are the opportunities of entrepreneurship in present economy and taking into considerations past examples.

Hi

Manager or Entrepreneur, it completely depends on your orientation and career goals.
In management institutes what they teach us is usually related to making us managers. They teach us how to calculate risks and evaluate the associated rewards, which actually takes us away from entrepreneurship.
