Hi Friends, In the recent day we all are well aware & discuss a lot for the increase in price at every where, may be vegetables & other basic necesssity materila. I want to hv ur input that how as an Mnanagement student we can contribute in reducing the Rocketing price of the essential items. This will serve a lot for the common man & also the actual farmer who are producing these goods will be benefiitted. I was just analysing it for couple of month where i can contribute, No doubt Black marketing & cartel is the major factor. However some of the other factor to be analaysed is.
1. Cost of production at the farmer end.
2. Wastage vs actual qty produced.
3. channel followed for the supply of goods to the consumer.
4. cost which the buyer pays.
5. Wastage during the supply chain.
6. Cost of Transporatation.
I beleive that if we reduce the wastage only, we will be able to save 16 - 18 % of our food material & these will help in reducing the price. & would like to further where we can work for reducing the price by reducing the Non value added activity in the complete process.
