Several Universities in India offers graduate as well as postgraduate courses in Bengali. The courses are also offered at M. Phil and at PhD levels also. The admission process for higher study programs in Bengali are based on the score of the Entrance test conducted by the participating University. The time allotted and the pattern of questions of the entrance test will be different for different Universities. The usual time allotted for PG level entrance test will be 2 hours. The questions will be on the basis of the topics included in the bachelor degree studies. There will be multiple choice questions along with descriptive type. The marks awarded for different type of questions will be different. Subjective questions carry more marks than descriptive type ones.
