Legalising Prostitution

Prostitution should be legalised as a profession. I believe that there should be companies for women choosing that profession. They can even file for taxes like every body else. This would help the cause of the women who are into prostitution. Do you think it is too much to expect of a country like India?

Legalizing it means it's regulated. Regulations reduces drug addictions and other various forms of "control" by pimps, it also means that the women would be making more money and getting benefits.

If we legalize prostitution, this would influence decent, young girls to turn to that way of life instead of getting their education and working towards and honest, respectable profession. Above all, it will increase sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy rates (not to mention all of the problems with pregnancy).
