Mumbai: L&T Construction has gained new orders worth over Rs2,542 crore across its distinct business segments during the April and May period this fiscal.
The company’s Building & Factories Business division gained orders worth Rs1021 crore for the construction of residential towers, cement plant and a factory at various locations across India, including additional orders from operating projects.
The Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business segment received orders worth Rs866 crore for delivering its expertise at the Kochi Metro Rail project. Scope of work under the said order includes construction of an elevated viaduct, elevated situations involving architectural finishing work of stations and connecting the viaduct and ramp to depot on Alwaye-Petta stretch of the project.
Under the Transportation Infrastructure Business segment, a new Rs315 crore order has been received from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. Scope of work under the said agreement involves designing and construction of 2×25 kV electrification, signaling, telecommunication and associated works for a double track railway line between New Karwandiya to Durgauti section of the Eastern Corridor.
The water and renewable energy business on the other hand has won EPC orders worth Rs148 crore from the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan for a water supply distribution system for 97 villages in Rajasthan. Additionally, orders worth Rs192 crore has also been received for executing a project under the Power Transmission & Distribution Business spectrum.
