Jee Main 2014- Online Exams Begin[/b]
Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains 2014 online exams are set to begin today. These exams are spread over a period of four days: April 9, 11, 12 and 19. Around 5 lakh candidates will appear for this exam to be held in 235 cities across the nation. The online exam will be held in two slots i.e. 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2pm to 5 pm.
The paper based, offline exam was conducted on April 6 where around 14 lakh students had appeared for the exam across 150 cities. The answer keys for the exam will are expected to release on April 25. The result for the same will be declared on May 3.Candidates who will manage to qualify the exam will fit the eligibility criteria for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions in India. Candidates who qualify in JEE Mains 2014 and are in the Top-20 percentile of various state intermediate boards will be selected for JEE advanced.
CBSE which successfully conducted the Joint Entrance Examination : JEE Main (offline) on 6th April 2014 is set to release the JEE Main Answer Key 2014 on its official website. NIT and IIT aspirants who appeared for JEE Main 2014 may download the answer key of the mentioned examination in the following official website at www.jeemain.nic.in. A large number of aspirants appeared for JEE Main 2014 Paper 1 and Paper II on 6th April 2014 and are waiting eagerly for the release of the answer key by the CBSE. Though CBSE will take some time to make the official declaration of the answer key, many private JEE Main and Training Institutions are expected to release the JEE Main 2014 Answer Key / Paper Solutions for the benefit of the aspirants. However, answer key released by such private institutions will not be considered as final.
JEE Main 2014 results are expected to be announced on 3rd May 2014. JEE Main 2014 rank card signifying all India rank, state rank and category rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be made available on the official website following result declaration. The Paper-1 (B. E. / B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be considered as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced).
