The faculty and students at JBIMS continuously strive to attain the latest and most industry-relevant business acumen. This year we have gone a step forward to leverage on this pillar of strength of our Institute by hosting on a global scale ‘The International Research Conference on Management, Banking and Finance (IRCMBF)’.
The purpose of this Conference was to provide a platform to solve some of the most pressing industry issues. In an increasingly chaotic and complex business environment coupled with a challenging economic scenario, there is a greater need for companies to respond quickly and nimbly by implementing innovative and flexible business processes. This conference thus provided a platform to researchers to present their research on challenges and rewards of organizational agility in turbulent times.
The theme for the Conference ‘Managing Business in Turbulent Times’ brought together innovative and feasible solutions by inviting research papers for all functional areas of management related to the Conference theme. The Conference explored the theme along three tracks from the perspectives of Banking and Finance, Marketing and General Management.
We received an overwhelming response from the outset with more than 250 entries and it took meticulous deliberation by seven referees, with expertise in their respective fields, to shortlist the final 104 research papers for presentation at the event. The entries varied not only in terms of the wide range of subject matter that they addressed but also in terms of the diverse profiles of the applicants which included academicians, research scholars, students and corporates.
