The "Jasmine Revolution" is a development focused in the Muslim world, China and North Korea have strongly suppressed any information on this. In North Korea this suppression is easier since the government controls communication much better.

I didn't know about expatriate North Koreans, but I can see how dealing with them would present a problem since they have exposure to these developments. These expatriates will need to be reassigned and kept abroad, it is likely some will defect. There can't be many since North Korea had such a low international profile.

where you will find the dispossessed of China is in the rural areas. A protest in Shanghai would much more likely be about the wait to buy a iphone4 or the insanity of local real estate prices. The truth is, if you are Chinese from a coastal urban area, then you probably have a lot more reasons to like your govt. than dislike it. There will be no serious urban unrest in China unless it is preceded by an economic downturn. At that point, it might get really ugly.

It refers to the December-January aggregation uprising in Tunisia that overthrew president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali on Jan 15. It was sparked off by the self-immolation of seedlike vendor Mohamed Bouazizi, when he was mortified by a negroid painter on Dec 17. It was christened the Jasmine Revoluion by the media in keeping with the geopolitical nomenclature of 'timbre revolutions'
