Its the disgrace of the politics. Everyone needs " Chaai Pani". This originally began when government servants were unpaid but now it has become an intrinsic part of the system. No one is even ashamed of asking for a bribe.

Do you think it is easy to be corrupt? What you ever give a bribe so that your work is done??

the habit of bribe comes from the assurance that no one can do nothing even if they are caught red handed. most of the government servants, i think, don't even know what is their job. perfect examples are MCD and DDA.

few months ago, i wanted to transfer a mtnl phone connection. for which the documents are to be attested by a SDM. SDM refused to attest the documents until I offered rs200 in exchange.

yup i really agree to the point that being corrupt is really very easy. In todays world it has become and shortcut to do all the work............

Ya we are got Habit of it, without that our work are not been finish. No one like to wait for the longer time for their work to be done and it is good to pay 1000 Rs for getting 100000 Rs

Well yes it is very easy to be corrupt.. Now a days people wants their work get done by hook or crook, so they don't even think that they are doing wrong thing..

For some, being corrupt may be the easiest way-or indeed the only way-to get what they want. At times, a bribe may provide a convenient means of avoiding punishment. Many who observe that politicians, policemen, and judges seem to ignore corruption or even practice it themselves merely follow their example. For some, being corrupt may be the easiest way-or indeed the only way-to get what they want. At times, a bribe may provide a convenient means of avoiding punishment. Many who observe that politicians, policemen, and judges seem to ignore corruption or even practice it themselves merely follow their example. As corruption snowballs, it becomes more acceptable until it is finally a way of life. People with pitifully low wages come to feel that they have no option. They have to demand bribes if they want to make a decent living. And when those who extort bribes or pay them to gain an unfair advantage go unpunished, few are prepared to swim against the tide.
"Because sentence against a bad work has not been executed speedily, that is why the heart of the sons of men has become fully set in them to do bad," observed King Solomon.-Ecclesiastes 8:11. Two powerful forces keep stoking the fires of corruption: **selfishness **and **greed***. Because of selfishness, corrupt people turn a blind eye to the suffering that their corruption inflicts on others, and they justify bribery simply because they benefit from it. The more material benefits they amass, the greedier those practicers of corruption become. "A mere lover of silver will not be satisfied with silver," observed Solomon, "neither any lover of wealth with income." (Ecclesiastes 5:10) Granted, greed may be good for making money, but it invariably winks at corruption and illegality.

Yeah, it is really easy to be corrupt in today's world. but what's difficult is to stay an honest man among those corrupt people forever..
