Is it a good idea to start a company soon after graduation

well someone can do business if they got family businesss or else they should work gain some experience and then go for business.
 
i think starting a new business any time is not at all a problem provided you have a good business plan and sufficient capital but it is always better that you work under some body for a few months in the similar business you have planned for and then start your biz....
 
Well starting a company is always a good idea but one needs to have ample resources or a unique business idea. As a starter it is always advisable to do a bit of research and then go about investing both time and money in such an option.
 
It is a bad idea to start a business immediately after graduation. MBA teaches us the theoratical management and when we enter in to practical life, its really hard to manage it. eg: one of my friends started business without any knowledge about the business and he shuts down without making profit.
 
yes.. it is a good idea to start a company if you have a strong and unique business idea..MBA provides learning.. and joining a company may limit the applicationof your knowledge as you will have someone to report to..

1.your lower financial responsibilities will ensure lesser family pressure .
2.Smaller absolute returns compared to % basis will not matter as much
3.You have a lot of time to develop the business

I agree that u should start ur own company, ideally I wold like to go out and wrk for a couple of yrs get some exp and cash and then start my own co.
 
Well it is a good idea to start a company soon after graduation but for that you should have proper resourses,Market knowledge and most importantly a solid business idea.Nowadays so many companies get open but cannot sustain themself after a certain period of time.Inorder to avoid that a good business idea backed with willingness to work really hard with undiverted mind is a must.Even if the business is small it doesnt matter.At the end all that matter is you survive in the market and grow over the period of time.Please dont expect an miracluous growth.It takes a whole lot of time and really hard work sometimes even just to survive in the market.

your right it takes time to sustain yourself, but you should also be determined and commited fully towards the business your doing...otherwise you will fail.

well according to me its each to its own it all depends on u r capability and confidence t sustain u r concept of business etc.and ya also u r experience,knowledge or study coz only confidence in u r self leads u nowhere sometimes.
 
Its a risky thing to start your own biz immediately after a graduation. People who made Google and Facebook survived because they did in Internet which will take not you to much debacle. However I believe that if they were about to start a different product they would have revised their ideas several times even after their graduation.

Real business is way beyond what we read in books. To have a real experience, to see how things work out in reality, one has to go to the field work and have the first hand experience. Directly venturing wont b a good idea
 
In my opinion, one should first gain experience of corporate world for 2 to 3 years and then go for starting a new business. This will provide familiarity with the market and also one will be able to deal with all kinds of people.
