There is lot of talk about the author Taslima Nasreen. She was exiled from Bangladesh and got settled in kolkota.Recently she was attacked in Hyderabad. Then she left for Kolkata. When she applied for her visa renewal she occupied the centrestage of Indian politics. Some people of Kolkata
started protesting against her visa renewal.I don't know what they were doing till tht point of time. The bone of contention was the controverial line in her book which some people couldn't accept. They should have protested against that book and there is no point in harming the author. In this country where the ahimsa form of protest originated this is outrageous to violently attack the author for her words. They should have shown their resentment in many non-violent ways. But attack on the author is not accpetable in any form. Moreover,Taslima was again transported from Rajasthan and then to an undisclosed location and she is now fighting for her survival. She wholeheartedly accepted to delete the lines from her book.Still her re-entry to kolkata is not sure and safe.
What a condition is it?
Is India troubling Taslima unnecessarily?
